'The Ugly Stepsister' is coming to Shudder next month

Shudder newest horror movie, 'The Ugly Stepsister', puts a new more extreme body horror twist on the classic Cinderella fairytale, where we will focus on one of Cinderella's step sisters forced to live under the shadow of the much conventionally prettier girl in a time and a community where beauty means the world.

The film is directorial debut of Norgewian filmmaker Emilie Blichfeldt, starring Lea Myren as Elvira, and Thea Sofie Loch Næss as Agnes (Cinderella), and after debuting on the 2025 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews, the film currently holds 97% positive reviews by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
