A woman filed a lawsuit against Back to the Future actor Crispin Glover on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, alleging battery and emotional distress.
The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claims Crispin Glover used social media to manipulate her into moving from the United Kingdom to his home in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.
According to the court documents, Crispin Glover promised her a career in Hollywood and a position as his assistant, but he instead expected her to be a live-in girlfriend and work without pay.
The lawsuit describes an incident on March 2, 2024, when the woman attempted to return to the house after visiting a mosque.
She claims Crispin Glover locked her out and then physically attacked her when she tried to retrieve her cats and belongings.
The documents allege that Crispin Glover choked her and placed her in a headlock, which resulted in visible injuries.
Afterward, Crispin Glover allegedly called the police and filed a false report claiming she was an intruder.
The plaintiff states that Crispin Glover controlled her movements and isolated her from friends and family during her stay.
She also mentions that during a 2023 meeting in Germany, Crispin Glover showed her items from a collection of Nazi memorabilia.
The woman claims she remained in contact with him despite his "odd behavior" because he continued to offer professional opportunities in the film industry.
Since the incident, the woman reports that she has become homeless and suffers from lasting emotional trauma.
She is seeking damages for the harm to her reputation and career. Attorneys from the Geragos & Geragos law firm represent her in this case.
