Season 1 introduces Rich & Sandi. Alberta is home to 17 furbearers, 14 of which are indigenous to Rich & Sandi's trap line. This season covers from open water muskrat and beaver through the winter seasons of marten, fisher, coyote, otter and lynx.

Rich & Sandi spend time with pioneers & visit with several trapping families raising their kids in the life.
