Eighteen year-old Jules, an opera buff and post office worker, makes a pirate tape of the celebrated diva Cynthia Hawkins who flatly refuses to be recorded.

The next day, just before being murdered, a prostitute slips a cassette revealing a scandalous illicit business into the bag on his moped.
