Rachel wants to love so much that she falls into an intense, abusive relationship with Vince, a local musician. When Vince's true evil emerges, Rachel finally escapes.

But even though she is physically separated from her abuser, she cannot break free from the emotional death grip that he has upon her mind. It's sex, drugs, rock and roll, and stream of consciousness poetry with a dreamlike twist.
