Red Sorghum (2014, Zhou Xun, Zhu Yawen)

Red Sorghum is an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name, written by Nobel Prize winner, Mo Yan. It tells the story of a young woman from a rural village who gets married in an arranged marriage.

She later becomes the leader of the family winery and has a complicated relationship with the man who saved her life.
