When, after a long absence, Frenchman Thomas Pagès returned to the 2012 event in Munich, Germany, his fans were open-mouthed with admiration for his three sensational new tricks: the Vault, the Special Flip and, most importantly, the Flair, a 540-degree front flip.

The era of back flips seems to have come to a sudden end. The whole scene faces a challenge. Who will be the 2013 champion?
