The Western States Endurance Run winds 100 miles over the Sierra Nevada Mountains along an old gold miner's path. Racers get one day to finish. No stopping.

No sleeping. Just a pair of trail running shoes and the ability to ignore an unbelievable amount of pain. At night, it's like running over Mount McKinley, alone, with blinders on.
