Once believed extinct in most of North America, mountain lions are reclaiming their former haunts in numbers possibly much larger than scientists will admit.

Oddly, in some places black-furred big cats make up over half the eyewitness reports- but zoologists say black pumas don't exist. So what are these ebony felines? One small central Wisconsin town may hold a clue to this growing mystery.
