After Wang Chen-Kang, a Kung Fu master of the "Shadow Gate School" is killed, his only son Wang Tsung-Wen (Billy Chong) is accepted as a pupil in the Cheong Hsing Martial Art School, working in the kitchen to pay for his lessons, he finds that the cook, Chang Tien Hsiang (Simon Yuen) is a veteran "Shadow Gate Boxer".
