Shostakovich - String Quartet No. 14, Op. 142

The Fitzwilliam String Quartet was the first quartet in the West to play Shostakovich's late three quartets. Shostakovich himself came to England to work with the young musicians.

30 years later, the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, consisting of Lucy Russell, Jonathan Sparey, Alan George, Nicole Baxter, plays the 14th quartet again and remember the collaboration with the composer.
