A darker side of Hong Kong action legend Jackie Chan is on display in this gritty reboot of the Police Story franchise.

Here, Chan plays mainland China police officer Zhong whose strained relationship with his daughter Miao Miao (Jing Tian) reaches crisis levels when both are lured to the hideout of underworld king Wu Jiang (Liu Ye).
