Assunta Spina

The famous play by Salvatore di Giacomo written by Eduardo De Filippo. Assunta, a commoner from Naples, is scarred for jealousy by her lover Michele. To get him a less onerous detention, Assunta agrees to become the lover of a chancellor, whom Michele, just released from prison, will kill.
