Roger Corman hired Francis Ford Coppola to redub and recut this Russian film about the magic voyage of Sinbad.

Sadko, as the picture was originally titled, is based on an opera by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and scored with music from the opera. The film was released in the United States in 1962 in this English-dubbed and modified form.
