Alexis, a formerly deaf woman, recovered her hearing during the brutal murder of her family when she was 10.

The intensely visceral experience also ignited an addiction to the sound of human pain, which in her adulthood developed into a unique musical career. When she is faced with the prospect of losing her hearing again, however, she embarks on a gruesome quest to preserve it.
