Darkness Before Dawn

As a child Mary Ann Thompson often found herself the object of her abusive father's vicious temper. As a single mother working as a nurse, she doesn't seem to bear the scars of her troubled childhood.

Or so it seems. However, the ready supply of drugs at the clinic where she works proves to be the crutch she needs. She begins to seek refuge in drugs and her life quickly spirals downward.
