Deep in the jungles of Sri Lanka, the ruins of an ancient civilization are now a savage battlefield. Welcome to Monkey City. Rival tribes of toque macaques are battling for supremacy among the ruined temples. The weak will be banished from Monkey City and into the Badlands, or worse - the human hell that lies across the river.

This is an epic story about the fall and rise of the Temple Troop, the mightiest tribe in Monkey City, and the courage of its humblest female. The dramatic fight for survival amongst the macaque tribes has never been bloodier than in these dark days in Monkey City.
