The upcoming prequel show for the Alien franchise 'Alien: Earth' will be sharing some exciting news at South by Southwest conference this March 7 and 8, with a "wreckage" stand were attendees over 18 years can go into and find news and details about the upcoming show.
At the moment there is not a set release date for it, and Hulu/FX are just announcing it as "coming this Summer 2025" but so far we have seen some amazing VFX in the teaser trailers, as well as some details about the production and the team working on this.
Noah Hawley is serving as showrunner and director and also as writer for this, while Ridley Scott is an executive producer for the project. Besides Hawley is also the creator of two legendary TV Shows, 'Fargo' and 'Legion', shows that have gathered praise from both audiences and professional critics accordingly, with very loyal online communities.
That's why the expectations are high for 'Alien: Earth', specially after such a great movie like 'Romulus' just joined the franchise.
Our main protagonist in this installment is Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler. The character is said to be an adult body with the consciousness of a child, and she gets involved in a dangerous situation after a spaceship crashes on earth.
Other members of the cast include Timoty Olyphant, as Wendy's mentor. Alex Lawther, Kit Young, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkins and many more, but there's still some way to go before we can get to see what they can make of this new script.
Until then, we can only expect a full trailer soon, where we can get an idea of how terrifying and unsettling this will be, in comparison with the other Alien movies.
