Jeff Garcia, the voice actor best known for playing Sheen in the popular Jimmy Neutron franchise, recently entered a Southern California hospital.
The cause of his current hospitalization remains unclear, according to sources close to his family.
The news of Jeff Garcia’s hospitalization broke on Monday, December 8. At this time, his exact condition and the nature of his illness are unknown.
The situation follows a previous health scare the 50-year-old actor experienced just weeks prior.
In November, doctors admitted Jeff to the hospital and treated him for pneumonia. He recovered from that illness, and doctors discharged him a few days later.
He reportedly resumed his work as a stand-up comedian shortly after leaving the hospital, performing in comedy clubs just a couple of weeks before his current admission.
Jeff Garcia has earned widespread recognition for his distinctive voice work, particularly his role as Sheen Estevez, the energetic, Ultra Lord-obsessed friend of the title character in the Jimmy Neutron universe.
He first voiced the character in the 2001 movie, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and continued the role through 52 episodes of the subsequent television series, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
Sheen proved so popular that the character received his own spinoff show, Planet Sheen, in 2010, where Jeff provided the voice for 26 episodes.
Beyond his animated roles, Jeff maintains an active career as a stand-up comic.
