"Pawn Stars" personality Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help pay off over $100,000 in medical bills.
The debt stems from a serious motorcycle accident in Tulum, Mexico, this past January.
Corey Harrison suffered 11 fractured ribs, a punctured lung, internal bleeding, and a concussion after crashing his Harley-Davidson.
The financial burden grew quickly as Corey Harrison spent 32 days in different Mexican hospitals.
He initially checked himself out of a facility in Playa del Carmen because the mounting costs exhausted his savings.
However, he soon returned for three life-saving surgeries at a more affordable hospital in Mérida after his oxygen levels plummeted.
Corey Harrison confirmed that his father, Rick Harrison, stepped in to help cover roughly half of the six-figure hospital bill.
While Rick Harrison reached into his own pocket to assist, Corey Harrison noted that his father is "not made of money" and expects repayment.
Rick Harrison has famously raised his son with a "tough love" approach, making him work for everything rather than giving him handouts.
The family is also facing a different financial reality than they did during the peak years of "Pawn Stars." Corey Harrison explained that the show does not provide a safety net for medical emergencies.
He currently has just $400 in his bank account and remains unable to work while he recovers in a recliner.
Friends and former colleagues set a GoFundMe goal of $18,000 to help cover back rent and ongoing therapy.
Corey Harrison admitted he felt reluctant to ask fans for money, but he realized he had no other way to manage the debt.
He remains focused on a recovery process that doctors expect to take at least eight months.
This video features a compilation of Rick Harrison handling large transactions, which provides context for the family's business history as Corey discusses their current financial situation.
