Steve Martin and Martin Short will return to the stage this April to continue their popular two-man comedy tour.
The duo paused their live shows in late February following the death of Katherine Short, the 42-year-old daughter of Martin Short.
According to family statements, Katherine passed away on February 23, leading the performers to reschedule several dates to allow the family time to grieve.
The tour, titled The Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short, features the two comedy legends alongside the Grammy-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers.
Fans can expect the show to pick back up on April 11 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah, Georgia.
Tickets for the upcoming spring dates remain on sale, while the shows originally set for March have moved to September and November.
Despite the difficult period, production sources indicate that the tragedy will not delay work on the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.
While the show is currently on a break, the cast and crew plan to begin filming the next season in London later this spring.
Martin Short and Steve Martin have worked together for decades and often credit their close friendship for their ability to balance their professional and personal lives.
The live show combines stand-up comedy, musical numbers, and stories from their long careers in Hollywood. Both actors expressed their gratitude for the privacy and support fans offered during the last few weeks. They look forward to bringing laughter back to audiences across the country as they complete the remaining twenty stops on their national tour.
