The Walt Disney Company in recent years has focused on live-action adaptations, such as The Lion King or its latest film, soon to be released, The Little Mermeid. For better or worse, this is a resource that has paid off for the company. Now, the house of the mouse has its eye on another project, as it is currently working on 'Tangled'. In case you haven't seen it yet, the original movie takes inspiration from Rapunzel, the original Brothers Grim fairy tale. In fact, the movie hit theaters in 2010 and is still very popular today.
Although a little less than 12 years have passed, the company is already thinking about a new version of the story, although this time taken to real action. The film is a great opportunity to use the great technological advances and cinematographic techniques that Disney has already used for other projects. However, all the technological and visual aspects would not be the only highlight of this new project that is already in the works. Many fans are hoping that the new version of 'Tangled' will see a new look and way of telling the story.
Although this live-action film is still in its early stages and the director and scriptwriters are still unknown, they are already working on casting. In fact, one of the protagonists of the film is already a fact, it is Fabien Frankel, 28-year-old British actor that today we can see in the hit HBO Max series, The House of the Dragon, as Ser Criston Cole. The actor will play Flynn Rider for the new Disney adaptation. As of today there are still no dates for the project, but filming may begin in February 2023.
