Lupita Nyong'o joins the cast of Christopher Nolan's new film

Lupita Nyong'o is now joining the ensemble of Christopher Nolan's latest project alongside Zendaya and Tom Holland.

Lupita Nyong'o is the latest addition to the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan film, as reported for an exlusive for Variety. After starring in last summer’s alien invasion thriller, A Quiet Place: Day One she joins a stellar cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya. Nolan wrote the script and is calling the shots on this new movie, which Universal Pictures will be putting out. Mark your calendars for July 17, 2026, because that is the release date. Moreover, Lupita Nyong'o won an Academy Award for her performance in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave and starred in both Black Panther and its sequel, Wakanda Forever. Nyong'o has demonstrated her range in various genres, including horror, with her starring role in Jordan Peele's Us, and even animation with this fall's unexpected success The Wild Robot.

As a matter of fact, this new film reunites Nolan with the studio that produced his drama Oppenheimer, which propelled him to his first Academy Awards. He won the award for Best Director and shared the award for Best Picture as a producer of the film, which grossed an astounding $976 million worldwide.
