The upcoming Sony buddy comedy 'One of Them Days', starring Keke Palmer and SZA's debut in acting, is coming to teathers earlier on January 17, the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. Originally the movie was opening on January 24, but the studio wants to take advantage of the holiday weekend for a better opening.
Issa Rae is one of the producers for the film, with director Lawrence Lamont and writer Syreeta Singleton, usual collaborator of Issa Rae in previous projects like Insecure, and Rap Sh!t for HBO. The first trailer came out not long ago, with the initial release date, and today we find out about the change.
The movie is going to be the second collaboration between Keke Palmer and SZA, after they were together on Saturday Night Live and the comments about their chemistry together were everywhere.
It wasn't a surprise when the cast announcement for a female buddy comedy was the two of them together, with Janelle James (Abbott Elementary), Maude Apatow (Euphoria), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) and many other actors joining them in the project.
And if you don't know the details for 'One of Them Days' yet, it follows best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) getting in trouble after Alyssa's boyfriend spends all the rent money. They have to go through hoops and loops to gather all the necessary money for rent if they want to keep living together.
If you didn't know what to do on January 17 and the free time for the Holidays, 'One of Them Days' is the perfect activity if you want something fun and light hearted.
