Reality television star Savannah Chrisley has confirmed she is considering a future in politics, a potential career pivot she discussed during a recent trip to Washington, D.C.
The 27-year-old revealed she had a meeting at the White House regarding a House of Representatives seat opening up in Tennessee.
Savannah Chrisley's recent foray into political activism stems directly from her efforts to lobby for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were recently released from prison after being convicted of fraud charges.
This experience, which included holding a press conference outside the prison, gave Chrisley a taste of public advocacy and ignited her interest in government.
She admitted the public support she received during that time made her re-evaluate her life's direction.
Despite the White House meeting and her conservative political leanings—she spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention—Savannah Chrisley stated she will not immediately launch a campaign.
Savannah stressed that she needs time to rebuild her personal life following the difficulties her family faced.
"I just got my life back. I'm rebuilding and figuring out who I am and what I want," she explained, clarifying that a run in the 2026 midterms is not feasible for her right now.
Chrisley believes she can create significant change through her large platform and voice on the outside.
Nevertheless, she maintains that a political career remains a possibility in the future, particularly teasing a potential Senate bid should Senator Marsha Blackburn run for governor of Tennessee.
Savannah Chrisley continues to focus on encouraging young people to vote and educating them on the importance of political engagement.
