Attorneys Mark Geragos and Harvey Levin have publicly criticized the prosecution team handling criminal charges against actor Timothy Busfield.
During an episode of their "2 Angry Men" podcast on January 24, 2026, the hosts labeled the prosecutors "unethical" and "out-of-control."
They argued that the legal team seems more interested in grabbing headlines than seeking justice.
Both Geragos and Levin stated firmly that the state will never win a conviction based on the current evidence.
The hosts pointed out several significant issues that they believe create massive reasonable doubt.
They noted that the mother of the two child actors accusing Busfield allegedly threatened him after her children faced the possibility of being fired.
Furthermore, the father of the accusers is a convicted fraudster who resigned from the State Bar in disgrace.
Geragos and Levin also highlighted that both children previously told police that Busfield did nothing inappropriate.
The podcast discussion also brought up a private investigation by Warner Brothers.
An outside law firm conducted the search and found no evidence to corroborate the abuse claims.
Witnesses from the production set also testified that Busfield was never alone with the children. Additionally, the actor reportedly passed a polygraph test regarding the allegations.
The hosts also noted a major shift in the court proceedings. During the first hearing, a judge held Busfield without bail after prosecutors called him a danger to the community.
However, by the second hearing, a judge released him without any bail requirement at all.
These developments suggest that the case against the veteran actor may be weakening as it moves toward a trial.
