Amazon MGM has the rights for 'Warhammer 40.000' since 2022, and after a lot of speculation and rumours about it, there's finally a great update about what they're going to do with the intellectual property, and it's apparently a live action TV show starring Henry Cavill.
Amazon Studios is going to produce the show, apparently the first installment in a possible franchise. We might be seeing different spin-offs and movie adaptations, since the universe and the lore for 'Warhammer 40.000' is so extensive, there's a lot of stories to adapt, either animation or live action.
It's not the first time we are seeing Henry Cavill in a live action adaptation, but according to his Instagram post announcing the project is moving forward, this one is extra special for him, being a passion project and something he has been looking forward too since he's a really big fan of the game, ever sin he was a boy even.
Having such a big fan of the game in the development and playing a main character, let's expect that the essence of the game remains the same when adapting it.
There aren't much more details about the people behind the TV show, since there's not even a showrunner attached to it yet, so we'll have to wait a couple of months before more things are open to the public, and probably a couple of years before we actually have the TV show streaming on Amazon Prime.
